How Schooling for Students in Stepanakert Will Be Conducted Amid COVID-19
The Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Artsakh informs that due to the coronavirus pandemic, strict adherence to anti-epidemic conditions will be maintained in public schools of Artsakh. Starting from November 29 of this year, the educational process will be organized as follows:
Students in grades 1, 2, 3, 4, 9, and 12 of Stepanakert public schools will switch to in-person education. Meanwhile, students in grades 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, and 11 will continue with distance learning.
Classes will be held on a six-day schedule. If there are groups of more than 25 students, two groups will be formed, and classes will be organized on a shift basis.
Schools in the regions of Artsakh will continue to operate in-person while adhering to anti-epidemic rules. However, schools that register cases of coronavirus will switch to distance learning as well.
Students who are in high-risk groups and cannot attend in-person classes, along with those whose teachers also belong to high-risk groups or are COVID-19 contacts, may participate in online courses organized by the National Center for Educational Technologies of the Republic of Armenia.
For more details, the Ministry recommends contacting the National Center for Educational Technologies at the following phone number: 010 57 84 55.
Individual classes at child and youth creative centers, sports schools, and art and music schools are allowed to resume. Group classes are prohibited.
Preschool institutions will continue to remain closed. Considering the alarming statistics regarding the spread of the pandemic and registered deaths, the Ministry of Health of Artsakh urges everyone to adhere to anti-epidemic rules and get vaccinated to restore normal life in the republic.
