Explosion at Ammunition Factory in Dzerzhinsk City Injures Two Workers
An explosion occurred at an ammunition factory in Dzerzhinsk, Nizhny Novgorod region, Russia. According to preliminary reports, two workers have been injured. A fire has broken out at the site of the explosion.
The information was provided to TASS by the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, noting that at 09:52 Moscow time, an alarm for fire was triggered at the Sverdlov factory, followed by several explosions.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations did not rule out the possibility of explosive materials being present in the factory area. Fire and rescue teams have arrived at the scene.
It is noteworthy that the Sverdlov ammunition factory produces one-third of military products in Russia, including explosives and chemical industry products.
