"Your humble servant, Ararat resident Hambardzum Matevosyan". New Deputy Prime Minister's statement
Yesterday, Hambardzum Matevosyan, who was appointed as Armenia's Deputy Prime Minister, and previously served as the Governor of Armavir Province, made a post on his Facebook page addressing the residents of Armavir.
“Dear residents of Armavir Province, esteemed colleagues,
I have ceased to perform the duties of the Governor of Armavir Province after being appointed as the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia. I must sincerely state that I have taken on the responsibilities of the Governor of Armavir with great accountability and have tried to do everything possible in these three years to ensure the progress of our province and improve the living standards of our population.
Due to circumstances, I simply could not present a report reflecting my three years in office. However, I promise that I will definitely find the time to present you with substantial data regarding the development programs of the province, which I consider to be joint achievements.
Of course, my colleagues and I have never limited ourselves to our successes and have sought to achieve more. And to the delight of all of us, with the draft budget of the Republic of Armenia for 2022, through public resources, foundation programs, and international donor organizations, we have set a higher bar for the development of the province for the coming year, which I can confidently say will be implemented with great responsibility and full capacity.
Dear residents and colleagues from my native province, I assure you that even being away from Armavir, I will consistently continue to address the issues facing our province. I am convinced that in a short time, Armavir Province will completely change its face, leaving behind all issues and questions that were considered unsolvable.
In summary, I would like to express my deep gratitude to the staff of the governor's office, government colleagues, National Assembly partners, regional heads of law enforcement agencies, representatives of local self-governing bodies, and representatives of educational and healthcare institutions, with whom I have traversed this challenging and honorable path, overcoming current obstacles and difficulties together.
Esteemed colleagues, may your work always be valued and serve the enhancement of Armavir Province, the well-being of the population, and the strengthening of the state. At the same time, I thank the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, for the high trust, promising that I will do everything possible to meet his and our compatriots' expectations. Wishing you all the best and goodness.
Respectfully yours, your humble servant, Ararat resident Hambardzum Matevosyan.”
