Tatév Community Leader Shares Details from Meeting with Prime Minister Pashinyan

The head of the Tatév community in Syunik Province and a reserve officer, Samvel Lalayan, has shared a brief episode from the meeting between the community leaders of Syunik and the Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, on his Facebook page. He stated that he took this step to refute various false and defamatory reports circulating in the media and on social networks suggesting that the community leaders of Syunik agreed to cede territories to the enemy during the meeting.

“I have proposed to the Prime Minister to create self-defense forces in Syunik, which could effectively assist the Armenian armed forces in countering hostile aggression. And once again, I want to say that Syunik belongs to us and will remain ours; Syunik has no land to surrender to the enemy,” he wrote, noting that he himself is a participant in the three Artsakh wars.

Lalayan reminded that the aforementioned meeting was held in a closed format, and certain discussed issues are not subject to publication. It is worth noting that on November 24, Prime Minister Pashinyan held a meeting with the leaders of the communities in the Syunik region, and recorded that the Syunik Province is currently at the center of the government's attention. The Prime Minister's office has released a video of the meeting.
