AKM Assault Rifle and Large Quantities of Drugs Discovered in a Goris Home

On November 25, acting on operational information received by the main department of the Police of Armenia, Goris police conducted a search in one of the houses on Arshakunyants Street and in auxiliary buildings as part of an initiated criminal case and following a court ruling.

During the search, an AKM-type assault rifle, a switchblade knife, four magazines loaded with 84 cartridges of 7.62 mm caliber, approximately 700 grams of a dry greenish substance resembling marijuana with a distinct odor, and 2270 grams of dried leaves and stems of cannabis with a similar odor were found.

Forensic examinations have been appointed. The circumstances are being clarified. An investigation is underway.
