Are you psychologically healthy when you propose going to Azerbaijan and Turkey to ask if they wish to commit genocide against us? What was unclear for you a year ago? What remained murky? This was stated by Azerbaijani expert Anzhela Elibegova during parliamentary hearings initiated by the 'Armenia' faction, addressing the authorities.

Elibegova reminded that Turkey supported the Azerbaijani army, transferred mercenaries to Artsakh, killed Armenian soldiers with Bayraktar drones, and questioned what remained unclear for government representatives about all this. “Did you not understand that they want us to disappear from this region, and they do not even hide it? You just need to follow their statements,” she said.

Referring to Nikol Pashinyan's statement that Azerbaijanis have invaded an area of 41 square kilometers and that it is necessary to appeal to international organizations, she asked what had been done during the past six months. “You should have been knocking on all the doors of international organizations during this time. How did it happen that they have been coming for half a year, and we just learned about this? It's good they haven't reached Noragavit yet; otherwise, we would have just been informed about it,” said Elibegova.

She noted that if the authorities are so inactive, they could go to the front lines and help soldiers dig trenches since they have experience. The Azerbaijani expert also pointed out that Azerbaijani forces have invaded Armenian territory, establishing positions, while it is claimed that according to Soviet maps, it belongs to Azerbaijanis. However, it would be better not to raise this issue. “A person wakes up in the morning, goes to milk his cow, and sees an Azerbaijani post set between their toilet and barn. When asked what legal basis they have, they say it's based on administrative division law. Experts are aging trying to explain: don’t say such nonsense, you are harming us. Tomorrow, when they go to negotiate, the Azerbaijanis bring this up saying, your authorities have said so. Did these areas come from their father’s backyard, that they are distributing it left and right?”

Elibegova also stated that the Azerbaijani side is taking advantage of the situation, while there is no document to confirm this claim, whereas according to the November 9 agreement, the captives should have returned. “They say we are negotiating to open a peace era. Does Azerbaijan want to open that era of peace? Azerbaijan is abducting civilians, pointing weapons at a bus full of children, and surrounding villages; is this how they envision peace?” said the Azerbaijani expert, adding that conflicting and exclusive statements are made on a daily basis regarding a singular issue, and she does not understand whether there will be a corridor or not. She is not sure if agreements and documents have been signed behind the citizens' back.

“And then they come and wave their fingers, scolding the people. The people will color the finger being pointed at them and give you the salute of Syunik,” concluded Elibegova.
