“Tomorrow is yet another one of the heaviest decision days in Armenian history” - Sofia Hovsepyan
Former deputy and member of the "Liberation Movement" initiative group Sofia Hovsepyan writes: "Tomorrow is November 26, 2021. For many, it may seem like just another ordinary day, but for me, it could be yet another one of the heaviest decision days in Armenian history. The Prime Minister is meeting to reach an agreement on a document acceptable to him. A document that might serve as a death warrant for the regions of Tavush, Ararat, Syunik, Vayots Dzor, as well as the history of Artsakh.
Sit back and spread fake news, sit back and tarnish the actions of others, but I cannot sit back, as I do not want to be ashamed when looking into the eyes of your children tomorrow. I will live in this country, which is my homeland; I will always visit Yerablur and incense there. I will not allow the Turk, who walks on the blood of our victims, to step over their graves as well.
You ask, what should we do? I asked myself the same question and found an answer and am acting on it. Maybe it is wrong, but I am trying not to be accommodating. Perhaps there is a better option, and I am willing to listen, to know, and to act. If you have no better alternative, then join and fight rather than blacken the others with fake labels.
Why don’t I join this or that force? Because I will never wave any flag of another country. I have one flag, and that is the tricolor. Why don’t I go to the border? Is there anyone among those who say this who has been there as often as I have or alongside a border guard?
Why don’t I go to Artsakh? Is there anyone who has been to Artsakh as often as I have or alongside an Artsakh resident?
When you have answers to these questions, esteemed seated ones, perhaps we can go together, whether to the Republic Square, to the border, or to Artsakh... Good morning....."
