Conscription Soldier Found Dead at Combat Position Around 14:50, Criminal Case Initiated

The Investigative Committee’s main military investigative department has launched a criminal case based on the features of part 3 of Article 373 of the RA Penal Code, taking necessary measures to clarify all circumstances surrounding the soldier's death. This was reported by the Investigative Committee.

According to preliminary information, on November 24, 2021, around 14:50, a conscription soldier from the RA Ministry of Defense's military unit N was found at a combat position located in the northeastern section of the Armenia-Azerbaijan border with a gunshot wound to the head. The soldier, Private Suren Romanovich Avetisyan, born in 2001, was discovered with a fatal injury and died on the way to the hospital around 15:30.

The investigative team is carrying out urgent investigative actions to clarify all circumstances of the incident. Earlier, it was reported that on November 24, around 14:50, the body of Private Suren Romanovich Avetisyan was found at a combat post located in the northeastern section of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, with a fatal gunshot wound to the head.
