Two Citizens Detained Near Metro Station: Police

Today, on November 24, police detained two citizens near the "Yeritasardakan" metro station in Yerevan. According to the police, the individuals were detained under Article 182 of the Code of Administrative Offenses for failing to comply with the legal requests of a police officer.

As previously reported, members of the "Liberation Movement" initiative paralyzed the operation of the Yerevan Metro this morning. They presented their demands in the metro and declared that there would be no retreat. "This is a non-political protest action. The protest is also for the safety of your children; soldiers must be armed, and the frontline must be defended. Let’s all gather at Republic Square at 18:30. We must fight every day; there will be no retreat. Our goal is to prevent the enemy from getting a corridor, to stop the anti-Armenian program of boundary demarcation and delimitation, including demanding the publication of the documents submitted for signature," said the participants of the action.

Later on, police detained several members of the "Liberation Movement" initiative near the "Yeritasardakan" metro station.
