Georgia Does Not Consider Participation in the '3 + 3' Format

The Georgian authorities do not consider the possibility of participating in the '3 + 3' negotiation format aimed at unblocking economic and transport ties in the South Caucasus region (Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia - Russia, Turkey, Iran). This was stated in a message distributed by the country's government, as reported by TASS.

In particular, a message presenting the results of negotiations between Zurab Abashidze, the special representative of Georgia's Prime Minister on issues of relations with the Russian Federation, and Russian Senator Grigory Karasin noted: "The Russian side was interested in how the Georgian side regards the new regional consultation mechanism '3 + 3' and specific events in this context, to which Zurab Abashidze responded that the Georgian side is not considering the possibility of participating in this initiative."

Additionally, on November 19, Georgia's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs David Zalkaliani stated during a speech in Parliament that Tbilisi does not plan to participate in the '3 + 3' format.
