Cause of Intestinal Poisoning Identified
The National Center for Disease Control and Prevention has reported via its Facebook page that laboratory results concerning the cases of intestinal infections registered at the public catering organization "Burger" of the "Father and Son Yeremyan" LLC (address: Amiryan 3/37) are now available.
According to the results of laboratory tests conducted by the Ministry of Health's Reference Laboratory Center branch, no deviations were found in drinking water. However, bacterial strains from the intestinal rod group (E. coli) and Staphylococcus aureus were detected in samples taken from surfaces and the hands of employees.
Moreover, both biological samples from patients and samples taken from food (raw meat intended for burgers) contained the pathogen associated with intestinal infectious disease (salmonella enteritidis).
