Apple Halts Product Sales in Turkey
Apple has temporarily halted its product sales in Turkey due to the recent record decline of the Turkish lira. This was reported by The Apple Post.
It is noted that while Apple’s online store remains accessible in Turkey, the company is not allowing any new orders to be placed or items to be added to customers' carts.
To recall, the Turkish lira reached another record low against the dollar on Tuesday, hitting 13.5 lira for 1 dollar. Since the beginning of the year, the Turkish currency has depreciated by 70%. In January, the exchange rate was 7.3 lira to 1 dollar. Protests have erupted in several cities across the country due to the currency devaluation.
