Video: Theft from a Casino in Tsaghkadzor
On November 18, at 1:30 AM, the police department in Hrazdan received a call about a theft that occurred at a casino in Tsaghkadzor. The police reported that an operational group from the Tsaghkadzor police department was dispatched to the scene.
An employee of the casino informed them that about an hour earlier, an unknown individual had opened the lock of a gaming machine and stolen a cash box containing 16,000 drams.
Officers from the department and the police station initiated the necessary measures, including operational-investigative activities. Information received from the community police department in Hrazdan was acted upon early in the morning. Around 7 AM, a 33-year-old man from the village of Zovaber in the Gegharkunik region was detained at his home on suspicion of committing the theft, and shortly thereafter, a 37-year-old resident from the Center district of Hrazdan was also apprehended.
The suspect from Zovaber provided a confession. A personal search revealed the 16,000 drams, and he also presented the stolen cash box from his home. Investigators are determining how the lock on the gaming machine was opened and other circumstances surrounding the incident.
