School Vacation Dates Announced by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport

The Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Armenia has confirmed the school vacation dates for students at general education institutions, specialized and state programs for the 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 academic years.

According to the ministry, students in grades 3-12 will have winter vacation from December 27, 2021, to January 9, 2022, inclusive. For first and second graders, the winter break will run from December 27, 2021, to January 23, 2022, inclusive.

Under the study plan, the Ministry may establish additional vacation days in the event of force majeure (adverse weather conditions, outbreaks of infectious diseases, natural disasters, etc.), making necessary changes to the academic schedule and the vacation timetable for students.

Considering that the autumn vacation has been extended by one week, the academic year will end on June 3, 2022, for a five-day work week, and on June 6 for a six-day work week. Thus, there will be at least 30 academic weeks for 1st grade, 32 for 2nd grade, and 34 for grades 3-12 during the year.
