Ruben Vardanyan: I Was Angry to See Operating Restaurants in Armenia During the War
Russian-Armenian businessman and philanthropist Ruben Vardanyan was hosted by director Sarik Andreasyan on his YouTube channel, Sarik Live. Vardanyan commented on the situation that arose after the 44-day war in Nagorno-Karabakh. According to him, the Armenian society has been extremely 'indifferent' during and after the war, despite the significant losses.
“I was angry to see operating restaurants in Armenia during the war. There was a feeling that this was an alternate reality,” he said.
According to the businessman, instead of mobilizing the nation as much as possible and building a strong Armenia, internal strife and mutual accusations are taking place in the country. “We live with the feeling that somehow everything will be decided for us, that someone will decide for us, always hoping that someone will protect us,” Vardanyan stated.
