Instead of Addressing Real Security Threats, Engaged in Everything but the Core Issue: Tigran Abrahamyan
The government still fails to understand that the failure to elect the long-standing Vice Chairman of the Defense and Security Committee not only completely trivializes the situation surrounding Armenia's security environment but also sends a message to the public that it is not intent on addressing Armenia's real priorities. This was stated by political analyst and member of the National Assembly's 'I Have Honor' faction, Tigran Abrahamyan, on his Facebook page.
“Instead of grasping simple questions and addressing real security threats, the individuals representing the government in the committee—especially its chairman—are engaged in everything but their core duties, making statements that have little connection to reality. There is no longer any point in discussing the agenda of electing a vice chairman; everything that needed to be said has been expressed in these past 2-3 months. I personally do not see any reason to participate in those sessions if there is no need to present a position or proposal on any other topic,” wrote Abrahamyan.
