Government Delegation Goes on Tour Amid Wartime Condition

The newspaper "Hraparak" reports: "The country is under wartime conditions, yet the government delegation has embarked on a tour in large numbers. On Sunday, a delegation led by the Speaker of the National Assembly, Alen Simonyan, left for Paris to participate in a conference titled 'Armenia - One Year Later', organized under the auspices of the President of the French Senate, Gerard Larcher.

It is presumed that the conference will discuss the situation a year after the war; however, no additional details have been disclosed regarding the conference in the Speaker's instructions.
Included in the 15-member delegation is the name of opposition 'I Have Honor' faction MP Taron Margaryan, but we learned that Margaryan did not go. His entourage claimed that he could not attend due to 'health issues'.

It is noteworthy that the 'Armenia' alliance has been disregarded. On November 24, Alen Simonyan, Ruben Rubinyan, and Vladimir Vardanyan, along with representatives of the Assembly staff, will head from Paris to Saint Petersburg. They will be joined by several MPs from the ruling Civil Contract Party to participate in the sessions of the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of the CIS from November 24 to 26, as well as in the international conference on 'Universal Health Coverage and Sustainable Development Goals'.
Additionally, it has been ordered that from November 22 to December 1, the duties of the Speaker of the National Assembly will be temporarily carried out by Vice-Speaker Hakob Arshakyan."
