Criminal Case Initiated Following Soldier's Murder: Investigative Committee
The Investigative Committee of Armenia has launched a criminal case under Article 104, Part 2, Clauses 2, 7, and 13 of the Criminal Code in relation to the murder caused by gunfire from the armed forces of Azerbaijan on November 22, 2021. This information was provided by the Investigative Committee.
It is noteworthy that the incident occurred as a result of shots fired by the adversary targeting Armenian positions located in the vicinity of Norabakh village in the Gegharkunik region. As a result of the attack, contract soldier Surik Yuriki Safaryan of the Armenian Ministry of Defense's military unit received fatal gunshot wounds to the side of his chest.
An investigation is underway.
