VIDEO: "This street will be closed by the Turk tomorrow," says protest participant

“This action is exclusively against the Turks. We are forced to close the street to make our society realize that the Turk has entered Armenia. Hey people, are we finally going to wake up and stand guard at our borders?” the citizens who blocked the street announced via loudspeaker.

“This street will be closed by the Turk tomorrow. Only the Turk can resist this action because it is aimed at him,” they said.

Among the participants of the protest are journalist Nairi Hokhikyan, leader of the “Zartonk” party Ara Zohrapyan, and former MP Sophia Hovsepyan.

“The security of our country is in everyone's hands—from Syunik to Tavush, Shirak to Artsakh. We will gather at 17:00 in Republic Square, Yerevan, to stand up for our country and statehood,” the organizers noted.
