Armenia Appeals to ECHR Regarding Recently Captured Armenian Soldiers

The representative of Armenia at the ECHR announced via Facebook that the Republic of Armenia has appealed to the European Court of Human Rights regarding the fundamental rights of Armenian soldiers captured during aggressive actions unleashed by Azerbaijan on November 16, 2021, within the sovereign territory of Armenia.

A request has been submitted to the Court under Rule 39 for the application of interim measures against Azerbaijan, aiming to ensure the captured soldiers' rights to life and freedom from torture, as guaranteed by the European Convention on Human Rights.
