All Vehicles Subject to Inspection to Prevent Possible Provocations, Says Russian Peacekeeping Forces Representative

Russian peacekeepers are conducting round-the-clock monitoring of the situation and controlling the ceasefire at twenty-seven observation posts located along the Lachin corridor and throughout the line of contact in Nagorno-Karabakh.

“The personnel at the observation posts are carrying out continuous monitoring of the ceasefire regime in their areas of responsibility. Russian peacekeepers ensure the safe passage of transit vehicles through checkpoints. To prevent possible provocations, all vehicles are subject to inspection, and if necessary, searches may be conducted,” said Dmitry Lichkin, a representative of the Russian peacekeeping forces.

For continuous monitoring of the current situation, all observation posts are equipped with modern external surveillance dome cameras. The Russian soldiers in the peacekeeping contingent are equipped with “Ratnik” uniforms during their service. The observation posts are outfitted with modern LED floodlights and uninterrupted power supply devices.
