Saakashvili Begins Accepting Food After 50-Day Hunger Strike

The former president of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili, has started accepting food following a 50-day hunger strike, and his health condition is reported to be stable. This information was shared with journalists by Dr. Nino Sharashenidze, as reported by ekhokavkaza.com.

Dr. Sharashenidze added that the medical team has developed an appropriate treatment strategy, involving doctors from the Republican Hospital and a gastroenterologist. “As you know, returning to food is much more difficult and requires very careful monitoring. That is why the nutritional regimen is detailed and will be meticulously followed,” said Nino Sharashenidze.

According to the doctor, Saakashvili is complaining of headaches. “He has certain complaints, which is quite natural,” she said.
