“It Seems Teachers Should Fly by Airplane from Goris to Conduct Classes in Villages”: Yerevan-Kapan Air Flight – Vrtanesyan

Today, we are much more vulnerable (geographically, militarily, and morally) than we were on November 10 of last year, February 24 of this year, May 11 of this year, June 20 of this year, and so on. This was written by military expert Karen Vrtanesyan on his Facebook page.

“This means there is a continuous negative trend. Now let’s be honest. This is the result of the Armenian national elite's betrayal. We shouldn’t blame the people, the nation. National mobilization is the responsibility of the national elite. That’s it. I don’t know if a new elite will form before the complete destruction of Armenian statehood,” wrote Karen Vrtanesyan.

In another post, he mentioned: “Do you remember a few days ago when Azerbaijanis effectively blocked the roads in Syunik, and the authorities immediately threw a new propaganda batch into the field, claiming that the Yerevan-Kapan air flight is about to open? As if teachers should fly by airplane from Goris to conduct classes in villages... Then the topic was quietly closed. The company that was supposedly supposed to operate these flights withdrew its application.”

All of this is even more absurd when you look at the dates...

• On November 11, the government announces that regular flights will be implemented from Yerevan to Kapan starting in 2022.
• On November 14, local self-government elections take place in Kapan.
• On November 16, the airline withdraws its application to operate flights.
