Everything should be done in a way that one begins to prefer joining the Union State for the preservation of Artsakh and Syunik. This was stated by presidential adviser Tevan Poghosyan on his Facebook page.

“History repeats itself hoping that lessons will be learned. Not learning lessons has consequences. Everything should be done in a way that one begins to prefer joining the Union State for the sake of preserving Artsakh and Syunik. Carry the task of defending the homeland for the next generations at least with the desire to preserve it. I never thought to myself: the chain of shortsighted steps under the guise of ‘democracy and sovereignty’ has led to the danger of losing the homeland. And without a state, at which point will you even realize such distorted sovereignty and democracy, of which you are the bearers? Where have you brought this to the point that I have become an advocate of this scenario in order to have the opportunity for Armenia to exist and for future generations to live on our land?” he wrote.
