COVID-19 Situation in Armenia and Artsakh

The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia has presented the COVID-19 situation in Armenia as of November 21, 11:00 AM:

  • ✓ 492 new cases
  • ✓ 7436 tests conducted
  • ✓ 1594 recovered
  • ✓ 25 deaths

Thus, a total of 334,075 COVID-19 cases have been confirmed, out of which 305,611 have recovered. Currently, 19,781 patients are undergoing treatment. A total of 7,278 deaths have been recorded due to the coronavirus. The total number of deaths from other causes is 1,405. In total, 2,306,456 tests have been conducted.

On November 20, 142 tests were conducted in Artsakh, resulting in 37 new COVID-19 cases. Currently, 137 infected individuals are receiving hospital treatment. Doctors have assessed the condition of 23 patients as extremely severe, and 84 as serious, including young individuals. Mild cases are being treated in outpatient settings. This information was provided by the Ministry of Health of the Artsakh Republic.

In 2021, a total of 21,283 citizens were tested for laboratory COVID-19 detection, with 3,475 returning positive results. There have been 3 recorded deaths.

The Ministry of Health of the Artsakh Republic urges the public to follow guidelines to avoid new outbreaks and to overcome COVID-19 as soon as possible. The ministry also informs that the population of the Republic is encouraged to get vaccinated against COVID-19 to ensure the health of themselves and their loved ones. Vaccinations against COVID-19 are being conducted at the outpatient-polyclinic department of the Republican Medical Center until 7:00 PM, as well as at the 'Arevik' healthcare unit, and at the Epidemiology and Hygiene Center in Askeran, Martuni, and Martakert regional healthcare units.
