‘5165 Movement’ Demands Prime Minister Pashinyan Present the Content of the Upcoming Document
The ‘5165 Movement’ is demanding Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan present the content of the document that is set to be signed regarding border delimitation and demarcation.
This statement was made by the movement.
“There are substantial doubts regarding the document, suggesting that vital territories, strategic corridors, and heights may be ceded to the enemy from the Republic of Armenia, and Artsakh may be recognized as part of Azerbaijan,” the announcement stated.
The movement, led by Karin Tonoyan, reminds that according to the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia, issues related to changes in the territory of the Republic of Armenia can only be resolved through a referendum, and according to the decision of the Supreme Council of Armenia from July 8, 1992, any international or domestic document which indicates that Nagorno-Karabakh is part of Azerbaijan is unacceptable for the Republic of Armenia.
The movement demands that the National Assembly and the President of the Republic of Armenia raise the issue of publishing the upcoming document within their jurisdictions.
In the meantime, the movement plans to gather in front of the Government building on November 22 at 14:00 to present this demand. It was noted that a plan for further actions will also be presented on-site.
It is worth recalling that during a government session on November 18, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that the Russian Ministry of Defense has made proposals regarding the preparatory phase of delimitation and demarcation. According to him, these proposals are acceptable to us.
