Mirzoyan and Zas Discuss Possible Steps Within CSTO Framework

Ararat Mirzoyan, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, spoke today with Stanislav Zas, the Secretary General of the CSTO. This information was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During the phone conversation, Mirzoyan emphasized that Azerbaijan has undertaken another act of aggression against Armenia's sovereign territory. He added that since the signing of the trilateral statement on November 9, the Azerbaijani military-political leadership has been undermining security and stability in the region with its provocative actions and hindering Armenia's efforts aimed at de-escalating the situation.

"The interlocutors discussed possible steps within the framework of the CSTO mechanisms and tools to stabilize the situation along Armenia's eastern border, if necessary," the statement said.
