Government Approves Five-Year Action Plan for 2021-2026
The government approved the five-year action plan for 2021-2026 during its meeting on November 18. Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan announced that the plan includes strategic objectives, measures to achieve them, expected outcomes, timelines, and funding sources.
"The program, consisting of 439 main objectives and 1,276 activities, is based on the government's commitments, including the electoral program and promises made during the campaign of the Civil Contract party in the snap parliamentary elections on June 20, 2021, as well as the targets set by Armenia's transformation strategy until 2050," he stated.
According to Mher Grigoryan, this plan also reflects the progress of commitments undertaken by Armenia under the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement with the EU, as well as the projects to be implemented within the framework of the EU economic and investment plan, which provides Armenia with a €2.6 billion package.
The Deputy Prime Minister added that the presented document aligns with the main provisions of the EAEU strategic programs, as well as those established by other international organizations and donors within the framework of strategic partnership for Armenia.
Mher Grigoryan declared that the program should become the primary working plan of the government. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan remarked that there is nothing new in this program since everything was discussed previously during the electoral period and during discussions of the government program.
"In essence, this is the plan for implementing our public announcements. I believe there is no need to discuss many details, as we would be repetitive," noted the Prime Minister.
