France Launches Large-Scale Military Exercises

France will commence the POLARIS 21 large-scale naval exercises on November 18, taking place in the western part of the Mediterranean Sea and along the country's Atlantic coast. This was announced by its naval forces.

According to available data, nearly half of the French Navy's ships will be deployed for the exercises, which will continue until December 3. This includes the aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle, the Mistral-class amphibious assault ship Tonnerre, missile frigates, and nuclear submarines.

Additionally, units from the air force and army will participate in these exercises. The total number of troops involved will reach 6,500, including 4,000 sailors, as stated in the report. Moreover, it is expected that naval vessels from the United States, Spain, Greece, Italy, and the United Kingdom will also take part in the POLARIS 21 exercises, as reported by Interfax.
