Yerevan May Seek CSTO Assistance, Says Armenian Ambassador to Russia

The Armenian Ambassador to Russia, Vardan Toghanyan, stated in an interview with RIA Novosti that despite the stabilization of the situation at the border with Azerbaijan, it cannot be ruled out that Yerevan may seek assistance from the CSTO.

"It is difficult to say; it depends on how the situation develops. We have what we have. Let's see how events unfold," he responded to a question regarding whether Armenia intends to seek CSTO assistance or if the need has dissipated with the stabilization of the situation.

When asked if he ruled out any development of events, he responded affirmatively: "Yes."

"The situation has stabilized at this moment," Toghanyan added.
