Levon Zurabyan on Developments in Syunik

“Pashinyan is the king of idiots, and Syunik is facing serious danger.” This was stated by Levon Zurabyan, the deputy chairman of the Armenian National Congress, during an interview on 24TV's program “Interview.” According to Zurabyan, there are extremely complex geopolitical developments occurring around Syunik and Armenia in general.

“Turkey and Azerbaijan do not abandon their strategic goal of having a corridor through Syunik, while the Armenian authorities do not understand our strategic interests at all, and they lack the capacity to comprehend, calculate, and act accordingly in political processes,” the speaker noted.

According to Zurabyan, Nikol Pashinyan is leading Armenia down a path of adventurism; he does not understand Russia's interests in the region and is incapable of grasping the significant geopolitical processes in which Moscow is involved.

“It is precisely because of this adventurism and the failure to understand these processes that Armenia today stands before the threat of losing its independence,” our interlocutor added.
