"Enough with the foolish talk": Argument in Parliament
During the Q&A session between the National Assembly and the Government, a verbal dispute erupted once again. MP Hayk Mamijanyan from the "I Have Honor" faction addressed Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, stating that state treason "does not happen with tail and behind," referencing Pashinyan's words that he would not start a war for 30% of Lake Sevan.
"It is good that your Minister of Justice has initiated renovations in correctional facilities, because your future will definitely pass there," which caused some discontent among the ruling party's MPs. Alen Simonyan ordered the microphone to be turned off, while Nikol Pashinyan responded that he has sad news: he has been to four correctional facilities in Armenia. "I have not felt bad at all in correctional facilities." Anna Mkrtchyan reacted to Pashinyan's words, prompting attempts by the MPs to restrain her.
"Enough with the foolish talk," Mkrtchyan retorted, to which she replied that fools are sitting in the hall. One of the ruling party MPs asked, "Did we improve the correctional facilities?" Pashinyan interrupted the debate and announced that there are people who can easily be intimidated by correctional facilities, although opposition MPs had already left the hall. "I named the correctional facility, and the entire faction fled," Pashinyan said.
