Ministry of Defense Issues New Statement

The Armed Forces of Azerbaijan are accompanying their attack initiated on November 16 with a widespread disinformation campaign. In particular, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense released a statement today at noon, before the onset of the actual attack, claiming that the Armenian Armed Forces had allegedly shelled Azerbaijani positions in several directions along the Armenian-Azerbaijani border on November 15 and 16.

The Azerbaijani defense agency also asserts that the Armenian Armed Forces are conducting operations in the Tavush direction. These claims do not correspond to reality. The Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense is attempting to blame the Armenian side for its extensive provocation; however, it is more than evident that it is Azerbaijan that has taken the offensive by striking Armenian positions using artillery and armored vehicles.
