Employees Evacuated from Sotk Mine

Employees working at the Sotk mine in the Gegharkunik region of Armenia have been evacuated. In a conversation with Factinfo, a representative of GeoProMining Gold, Rouzanna Grigoryan, stated, "Given the tense situation during the day, it was clear that to ensure safety, we decided to suspend operations at the mine and evacuate all employees. Everyone has been safely evacuated."

The border passes through the mine. After the evacuation, Grigoryan reported that she was unable to establish communication with the mine for further information, and therefore could not provide any military-related updates. "Even the general director was there. I managed to establish contact and was told that they have left and have been evacuated," she added.

Grigoryan highlighted that they have extensive experience and 'immunity' in such situations. Over the past year, they have frequently taken similar steps and know precisely what to do in such cases.
