Azerbaijan's Defense Ministry Accuses Armenian Military-Political Leadership

The Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan has issued a statement alleging that the Armenian side violated the ceasefire last night by opening fire towards positions located in the Kelbajar region.

“The shelling was carried out using weapons of various calibers,” the ministry reported, adding that the targets included a tractor and trucks engaged in road construction work in the area.

“We again declare that the full responsibility for any confrontation at the state border lies with the military-political leadership of Armenia,” stated the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry.

It is worth noting that last evening, the ministry reported that as of 7 PM, the situation in the eastern direction, where units of the Azerbaijani armed forces had attempted to advance in positions, had relatively stabilized, and negotiations were ongoing.

Additionally, Azerbaijani media outlets have circulated various videos since last night, claiming that the Armenian side abandoned the positions depicted in the footage and left them to the Azerbaijanis.
