Citizen Near Russian Peacekeeping Forces Transferred to Artsakh Law Enforcement
A citizen of the Republic of Artsakh, located near the Russian peacekeeping forces, has been transferred to the law enforcement authorities of Artsakh. This was reported by the Ombudsman of Artsakh, Gegham Stepanyan, on his Facebook page.
“I just met with the citizen at the Artsakh Investigative Committee and familiarized myself with the circumstances of the incident. The citizen has contacted their relatives. Investigative actions will be carried out by the law enforcement agencies of the Republic of Artsakh to examine the circumstances of the recorded incident, ensuring all rights and legal interests of the citizen,” said the Ombudsman.
He added, “The Ombudsman’s office will carry out all necessary actions within its authority regarding this matter. Today’s incident should be viewed within the context of the overall situation that has emerged since the establishment of the ceasefire after the trilateral statement of November 9, 2020, highlighting the impunity of Azerbaijani crimes against the people of Artsakh over the past year, the systematic and purposeful violations of the rights of the Artsakh people, and the psychological terror inflicted on the population.”
