New Drug Against COVID-19
The antiviral drug "Areplivir" has been registered in Russia in the fight against coronavirus. This was reported by the state drug registry as conveyed by RIA Novosti.
"Registration date: 11.12.2021. It is allowed to enter civil circulation for up to five years," is stated in the drug card.
The "Areplivir" medication for coronavirus infection was developed and produced in 2020 at the Biokhimist plant in Saransk.
In February 2021, the Ministry of Industry and Trade announced that starting from September, the plant had increased production of the drug tenfold, reaching one million boxes per month, and plans to increase production to two million.
"Areplivir" is included in the treatment guidelines for coronavirus infection by the Russian Ministry of Health and is listed among essential and vital medicines. The proposed price is 5,060 rubles.
