Two Seriously Ill Patients in Goris' Bardzravan Village Unable to Be Transferred to Hospital
The road is generally impassable under the current weather conditions. Construction processes are taking place. We are attempting to do everything urgently, collaborating to ensure that no humanitarian issues arise. This was stated by Irina Yolyan, the deputy head of the enlarged Goris community, in an interview with 24News.
“Both bread and food are reaching individuals as needed. Today, we have also worked in conjunction with the regional administration, dividing responsibilities to address the more urgent issues in the created situation. Residents who have difficulties accessing banks and other services are being transported by vehicle. This will be organized periodically until the road repair issue is resolved,” she noted.
The village mayor of Bardzravan, Onik Avagyan, mentioned that teachers were able to come to school today. “The teachers have arrived, and the classes have been organized on time.” Regarding food transportation, the mayor pointed out that the main issue is bread, which has been supplied to the residents today. In terms of the road repair, Onik Avagyan found it difficult to provide specific deadlines. “According to the plan, it is scheduled to be completed by New Year. They will finish the dirt roads and pave them, and from next year they will start asphalting,” he said.
He added that there are two seriously ill patients in the village. “One of them is in very critical condition and needs to be transferred to Goris, but this has not been possible. The other shows signs of a stroke, and there are issues with transportation. It is impossible for a vehicle to come from Goris to the village,” concluded the Bardzravan village mayor.
