Mother See: No Spiritual Danger in COVID-19 Vaccination

The Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin sees no spiritual or religious danger regarding vaccination against coronavirus. This was reported by the information system of the Mother See.

“The Supreme Spiritual Council, discussing the pandemic situation in Armenia, has noted with deep concern and sorrow the increase in infection rates and the associated rise in mortality. The Supreme Spiritual Council reaffirmed the stance of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin that vaccination against coronavirus does not pose a spiritual threat. It was emphasized that personal freedom must be strictly balanced with public responsibility in the current conditions of the pandemic, to prevent endangering one’s own life and the lives of others.

The dedicated service of doctors and healthcare workers in saving human lives has been highly appreciated. The Supreme Spiritual Council also deemed it necessary for the relevant authorities in the healthcare sector to take measures to prevent the spread of conflicting information regarding the benefits and effects of vaccination, to enhance the effectiveness of the fight against the pandemic. The assembly once again called for adherence to all preventive measures to overcome the pandemic,” the statement said.
