Children in Moscow Hospitalized Twice as Often with Coronavirus

The chief pediatrician of the Moscow Health Department, Ismail Osmanov, has announced that children are being hospitalized for coronavirus infections twice as often.

“During the fourth wave, we observed a noticeable increase in cases of coronavirus among children; the hospitalization rate has doubled. Compared to the previous infection surge, the difference is three to four times,” Dr. Osmanov stated.

He added that children are being hospitalized with moderate to severe illness showing specific symptoms related to the disease.
