Bread Will Soon Arrive: Residents of Bardzravan Village Face Serious Problems
Today, bread and medical supplies have been transported to the village of Bardzravan in the enlarged Goris community. Goris Deputy Mayor Karen Kocharyan personally participated in the delivery of essential items for residents and a kindergarten, and also became acquainted with the new alternative road and its associated issues.
Bardzravan leader Onik Avagyan told “Factinfo” that the items have reached their destination, and the bread is on the way.
“We needed to deliver essential items, and they have arrived. The bread will arrive shortly as well. The villagers do not have any problems regarding food, mainly bread, coffee, and similar items. We are organizing and resolving these issues as they arise. Currently, we have solved the daily food problems for the kindergarten. There are also people in the village with health issues, needing medication, which has been delivered. If anyone has requested a priority, it has been fulfilled,” he said.
After delivering the necessary items and familiarizing himself with the issues, Karen Kocharyan headed from Bardzravan to Shurnukh. The Bardzravan leader also reported that the situation regarding the roads remains unchanged. He insisted that equipment be brought in to work on the difficult-to-access section of the road leading to the village to complete asphalt paving as soon as possible.
“This is being done through a government program, not through the villagers. I simply requested it. The alternative road should come from Tatev to the village. The main impassable section begins at the village and stretches for 2 km. I insisted that they first work on this section to prevent weather conditions from causing further problems later. We are working here as much as possible to improve this section. The equipment has arrived, and work is underway,” he noted.
Classes at the school and kindergarten have been organized as best as they can today, despite the fact that teachers coming from Goris were unable to reach work yesterday.
“Currently, it’s functioning. There was an issue with transporting teachers yesterday; only those coming from outside did not show up. As of today, teachers from Goris have arrived via the alternative road, which is in terrible condition,” he added. “Let’s see how it goes tomorrow.”
Today, the issue of bread is considered resolved, and arrangements have been made for urgent travel along the impassable alternative road in the future. The border guards have agreed to provide vehicles for residents to reach Goris and return.
“The border guards have come here, and we discussed the issues regarding traveling back and forth. They will provide us with vehicles so that villagers can go to Goris and return. They will arrange a specific day for transportation, allowing residents to travel to the city for shopping and then return home. We have made arrangements, and the people are willing to help us,” Avagyan confirmed. He also mentioned that no residents from Bardzravan traveled to Goris today.
