VIDEO: How Saakashvili is Forced to Move to Prison Hospital
In Georgia, footage has been released showing the transfer of former President Mikheil Saakashvili to a prison hospital. It is reported that the release of the footage was based on "public interest," according to Novosti Gruziya.
The service notes that during the move to the hospital room and while being checked, Saakashvili allegedly "used physical violence against the staff and damaged medical equipment," prompting the main inspection of the Ministry of Justice to conduct an investigation. He was transferred to the prison hospital on November 8.
Saakashvili himself stated that he was assured he would be moved to a civilian clinic from Rustavi prison No. 12, where he had been since October 1. He claimed that when he realized he was being sent to the hospital located in prison No. 18, he refused to get out of the car, after which he was "thrown to the ground, pulled by the hair, and hit twice in the neck."
