Arush Arushanyan's and Menua Hovhannesyan's illegal detentions, along with the dozens of criminal cases initiated against supporters of the 'Arush Arushanyan' alliance, are nothing more than an assault on our national state interests and the preservation of our identity. This is stated in a statement released by the detained mayor of Goris, Arush Arushanyan.

'It is no secret to anyone anymore what issues the executors of the current authorities are trying to resolve through the judges. This is no longer funny. We live in a continuous chaos and absurd reality. We have repeatedly stated and continue to insist that all these criminal cases are fabricated, imaginary, and have no relation to the detained re-elected mayor of Goris, Arush Arushanyan, the vice mayor Menua Hovhannesyan, who was again detained today by a decision of the Court of Appeal, and our sympathizers involved in various criminal cases.'

Attempting to silence all those who dare to speak the truth, who fight for the security of their homeland and future generations, is the goal. The intent is to carry out the orders of the self-proclaimed prime minister-dictator and to unify the entire nation under one person's grip, so that there are no obstacles or dissenters in the final implementation of the disastrous plan to surrender our homeland piece by piece to the enemy. This will not succeed; we will not give in.

Our struggle continues, and the more pressure you apply to the 'Arush Arushanyan' alliance and our supporters, the more tenacious resistance you will encounter. We urge our voters and allies to arm themselves with patience and to prepare for a more serious and, if necessary, prolonged struggle for as long as justice and fairness have not been restored in our country, until all illegal criminal cases are dismissed, and we have returned the last centimeter of our homeland that was given to the enemy through written and oral agreements,' the statement reads.
