Some Will Become 'Sacrifices': 'Hraparak'
The newspaper 'Hraparak' writes: The relationship between Artsakh President Araik Harutyunyan and Samvel Babayan has soured. Harutyunyan is actively working in that direction; his close associates are giving interviews against Babayan, attempting to place a significant portion of the responsibility for the war on him, particularly claiming that Babayan convinced Pashinyan to execute the infamous operation at Lele-Tepe, which, after failing, broke the backbone of the army, leading to a series of defeats.
Recently, the mayor of Karvachar, Roland Aydinyan, spoke about the well-known Sghnakhs operation, which aimed to prevent the incursion of Azerbaijanis into Shushi, again directing the arrow of accusation toward Babayan. The issue is that there is a fierce struggle in Artsakh over who will avoid becoming a sacrificial lamb.
The fact is that Nikol Pashinyan is soon preparing a grand theater. This will be based on the work of the investigative commission regarding the 44-day war, although it is unclear whether it will be in another format. However, some will become 'sacrifices'. The authorities believe that the defeat of the war will not be digested and will accumulate, eventually leading to a public outcry. Therefore, it is necessary to direct the discontent in a certain manner and present the public with major 'sharks'. It won't suffice to solely break the vase over Onik Gasparyan and the General Staff, especially since Gasparyan is considered a political victim and has ended up in Kocharian's team after his dismissal.
Accordingly, the culprits need to be sought in Artsakh within the triangle of Araik Harutyunyan, Jalal Harutyunyan, and Samvel Babayan, presenting them as the main actors of the war. Araik Harutyunyan has decided to make Samvel Babayan the 'sacrificial lamb.'
