Sale of Armenia's Sovereignty in Parts: MP
During the discussion, only MPs from the "Hayastan" and "Pativ Unem" factions were present, with no representatives from the ruling faction present. This was stated by MP Anna Mkrtchyan during a discussion in parliament regarding the situation along the Goris-Kapan road, adding that the current situation resembles the reality of November 9, when "members of the same group had fled" and there was no way to get any explanation about what was happening.
She said, "They have adopted the same attitude now, none of them are here, and they do not care that foreign hostile forces are present on the sovereign territory of Armenia, and that they are starting to carry out certain actions based on civil and tax legislation."
Referring to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's statement today that the area where the Azerbaijanis have set up a checkpoint is not Armenian, Mkrtchyan described it as a "confessional statement about betrayal." She stated, "The text he brought, which he claimed indicated that what is happening is not on the sovereign territory of Armenia, speaks solely of state betrayal, because what is happening today along the Goris-Kapan road occurs in internationally recognized territories of the Republic of Armenia."
According to her, only one deal is taking place: "The sale of Armenia in parts, in the manner and sequence agreed upon by the Turks and the local agents of the power usurpers." She concluded, "Currently, there is exclusively a one-sided surrender of Armenian territories."
