Armen Grigoryan Reveals Route for Azerbaijanis to Reach Nakhichevan Through Armenia
The Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia, Armen Grigoryan, stated during a broadcast on Public Television that Azerbaijanis could use a specific route through Armenia to reach Nakhichevan.
“If it is clear that they only want to go to Nakhichevan, an efficient route could be from Khdzoresk to Bichanak (Bjnak), which Azerbaijanis could utilize. We could also exit from Khdzoresk, and move towards Horadiz, from Horadiz to whichever direction we choose,” Grigoryan mentioned.
He indicated that these issues are currently under discussion. The Secretary of the Security Council emphasized that a political decision is necessary regarding which roads or entries would be used for unblocking, contingent upon reaching an agreement on the logic of unblocking routes.
Addressing the situation created by the checkpoints established by Azerbaijanis on the Goris-Kapan road, he stated that no Armenian village will be isolated. “At this moment, we are working on improving the roads. The unpaved road is almost ready. By November 10, the Kapan-Tatev road was already completed. We are intensively working on other roads,” Grigoryan said.
