WHO States When the Pandemic May Come to an End
The World Health Organization (WHO) may declare the end of the coronavirus pandemic when the international health system is no longer overwhelmed. This condition was noted by Hans Kluge, the director of the WHO European Bureau, in an interview with La Vanguardia.
According to Kluge, while the primary issue in combating the pandemic previously revolved around vaccine availability, the current challenge lies in the spread of misinformation and varying opinions about vaccinations among the population.
He emphasized that, according to 'fairly reliable estimates', by February 2022, around 500,000 people in the European region could die due to COVID-19 related causes. This prediction reflects the current spread of the infection.
