Serzh Sargsyan's Office Releases a Statement

The third President of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan, expresses deep gratitude for the condolences sent to him and his family, relatives, and close ones in connection with the passing of his beloved mother, Nora Sargsyan. He appreciates the expressions of sympathy, comfort during this difficult time of irretrievable loss, and the many warm, heartfelt, and sincere words and prayers dedicated to the memory of his mother.

The statement released by the third president's office also reads: “President Sargsyan wishes that God may protect all families, grant health and long life to all parents and their children.”

In the last two days, thousands of compatriots from Armenia, Artsakh, and abroad—including officials, clergy, representatives of international organizations and the diplomatic corps, as well as cultural figures—have expressed profound condolences and support to the third president, many of whom have been welcomed at Nora's home in the past.
