Serzh Sargsyan Says Some Known Faces from the Party Should Stay in Yerevan
According to the newspaper "Hraparak," "Yesterday in Stepanakert, the mother of the third president of Armenia, Nora Sargsyan, was bid farewell. The day before, the funeral service for the 92-year-old mother of the president had taken place. At the same time in Yerevan, a rally was taking place, organized by former president Robert Kocharian, which was also attended by Serzh Sargsyan's associates, including Vahram Baghdasaryan, Taron Margaryan, Hayk Mamijanyan, Ruben Tadevosyan, and others.
They told us that some of their comrades had already departed for Stepanakert to participate in the funeral service of the president's mother, while they themselves would go after the rally, late at night, to ensure they arrive at the burial on the morning of November 9.
We learned that Serzh Sargsyan wished for some of the known faces from the party to remain in Yerevan and mandatory participate in Kocharian's rally, regardless of whether they reached the funeral service.
By the way, after the rally, Robert Kocharian also headed to Artsakh; in the morning he was in Stepanakert, standing next to Serzh Sargsyan, participating in Nora's burial.
