Nine Children Hospitalized Suspected of Food Poisoning: SNCO

According to information received from the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention under the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia, eight children were hospitalized last night at the Muratsan University Hospital, while one child was transferred to the National Center for Infectious Diseases, suspected of food poisoning. The children are students of the Elka Child Development Center, aged 8 to 11.

Inspectors from the Food Safety Inspection Body started control measures at the Elka Child Development Center last night in response to the alert. Samples were taken from the existing prepared products and raw materials, as well as from food contact surfaces and equipment, and sent for laboratory testing. The sanitary and hygienic conditions of the public catering locations are being investigated.
